Welcome to South Hills
Visiting a church for the first time can be intimidating. At South Hills we want your time with us to be meaningful and as smooth as possible. We hope you’ll feel at home from the moment you arrive. Volunteer Greeters are available at the doors and at Connection Centers to provide information and assist with directions around the facility.
For children from birth through 5th Grade, we have an automated check-in system to ensure that your children are secure and well cared for. Please visit the Children’s Check-in Center at least 15 to 20 minutes before the service starts to allow time to register your children. Grades Kindergarten through five attend the first part of the worship service with their parents, have a brief story time with the pastor, then go with their teachers to their classrooms. Parents pick up their children after the services.
What to Wear…
We want you to feel comfortable when you join us for a worship service. People wear anything from shorts and flip-flops to business professional wear.
We invite you to stop by the Connection Center in the lobby to pick up a Welcome Packet assembled just for you. Our friendly volunteers will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Our Welcome Class is for newcomers to SHC. Pastor Phil will explain our Core Values ‘Know, Grow & Go’ and answer your questions. A light meal is provided as well. The Welcome Class is held in January, April and September.
