Welcome to South Hills
Visiting a church for the first time can be intimidating. At South Hills we want your time with us to be meaningful and as smooth as possible. We hope you’ll feel at home from the moment you arrive. Volunteer Greeters are available at the doors and at Connection Centers to provide information and assist with directions around the facility.
What to Wear… We want you to feel comfortable when you join us for a worship service. People wear anything from shorts and flip-flops to business professional wear.
What to expect on Sunday Morning
Worship Services are 9:00 and 10:45 AM in the Worship Center. Our two services are identical and are about 70 minutes long. There is a family section on the Mezzanine for families with small children. Monitors are available to watch the service as you sit with your children.
Parking: As a first time guest we offer Guest Parking close to the building. Just look for the parking stalls labeled ‘First Time Guest’.
Additional Parking is available behind the Worship Center in the North Parking Lot.
Children’s Check In: For children birth through 5th Grade, we have an automated check-in system to ensure that your children are secure and well cared for. Please visit the Check-in Counter in the Preschool or Elementary area of the Family Life Center at least 15 to 20 minutes before the service begins to allow time to register your children.
Children Kindergarten through 5th Grade attend the first part of the worship service with their parents, have a brief story time with the pastor, then go with their teachers to their classrooms in the Family Life Center area. Parents can pick up their children after the Worship Service.
Coffee Counter: The Lost & Found Coffee counter is located in the Family Life Center. Hot or cold beverages can be purchased here brought into the classes or Worship service. There is also a hospitality coffee counter available in the lobby of the Worship Center.
Connection Center: We invite you to stop by the Connection Center in the lobby to pick up a Welcome Packet assembled just for you. Our friendly volunteers will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Our Welcome Class is for newcomers to SHC. Pastor Phil will explain our Core Values ‘Know, Grow & Go’ and answer your questions. A light meal is provided as well. The Welcome Class is held in January, April and September.
